Messages sent via WhatsSecret are securely encrypted and can only be read with a matching password.

How it works:

• WhatsSecret constantly monitors the text on your screen. When it finds an encrypted text, it tries to decrypt it and then displays the decrypted text as an overlay in place of the encrypted text. Conversely, it can read text out of an input field, encrypt it, and then insert the encrypted text back into the input field.
• In order to encrypt text, WhatsSecret displays a button next to an active input field. After entering the secret text, tapping that button prompts WhatsSecret to read the text, encrypt it, and insert the encrypted text back into the field. The message is then ready to be sent in the WhatsApp™ app as usual, without the app being aware that it is sending encrypted data.
• WhatsSecret also offers a unique way of encoding encrypted messages. It stores the encrypted text in invisible (zero-width) characters and allows you to add decoy text at the end. This approach ensures that a message appears as innocuous as "Lorem Ipsum!" with no visible indication of encryption, while in reality, it contains a concealed encrypted message.
